Fulfilling a Lifelong Dream

Biscuit’s Buddies began as a lifelong dream of bringing animals together with individuals that could use the comfort and support that animals have a unique way of providing.  Once we saw firsthand how our animals literally change lives, we wanted to continue our mission and created Biscuit’s Buddies, a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity.   Since 2019 Biscuit’s Buddies has worked extensively with the elderly, special needs individuals, rescue animals and other organizations.

The Animal Team

Animals have unique personalities, just like us.

Every animal has their own unique personality traits, just like us! Click on each name below to learn more about our animals and what makes them special.

  • I am the first member and founder of Biscuit’s Buddies and Biscuit’s Buddies is named after me. I started going to events when I was four months old, and I still love it. I am dark brown. My favorite hobby is jumping, and I can jump almost as high as my height. I also participate in 4H events with my younger human handler.

  • A big hello to everyone! My name is Pickles and I am a boy. I was born on May 23, 2023. My mom’s name is Ivy. I was a surprise baby to Biscuit’s Buddies. I am growing by leaps and bounds. I am very curious, bold, and daring. I explore everything I come across, and my life is the biggest adventure yet. I am still learning to be a therapy horse and learning how to behave in all sorts of places and events. I am told that I am very handsome, and people love my blue eyes. My color is a red dun/buckskin.

  • My name is Ivy, and I was born in 2016. My color is called a Buckskin paint, so I am very fancy. I am “MOM” to both Pickles and Daisy. That being said, I am in charge of everything and everyone! It is so much work to manage such an unruly group. I am very “chill” and nothing phases me! I tackle elevators, stairs, and crowds with no problems. My favorite hobby is to go places and get scratches and hugs from my fans.

  • Lion is an adventurous and curious horse. He is instantly your best friend. Lion can size up a room and all the mischief he can get into! Lion loves people of all ages and abilities and is trained to be calm around crowds and loud environments.  Lion was born in 2014.  Lion’s coloring is called Silver Dapple.

  • My name is Bentley.  My birthday is September 21, 2020.  I am a mini donkey.  I am very stubborn, but I love to get pets and be brushed.  At home I am the instigator and am constantly bothering all the other animals so that they will play with me.  I like to untie ropes and take the feed dishes.  I like the outdoor events at Biscuit’s Buddies because I like to be outside.

    Luna:

  • I am a black Nigerian Dwarf goat, which is one of the smallest goat breeds. I am the newest member of Biscuit’s Buddies and at only one week old I began going to events. My human mom bottle fed me for three months until I could eat big goat food. I am happy and rambunctious all day long. I can jump higher than any of the horses and my favorite thing to do is jump on the high garbage can! I am small, so it is easy for people to hold and pet me during visits.

  • My name is Luna.  My birthday is June 2, 2021.  I am a Fainting Goat.  I started going to Biscuit’s Buddies events with my equine brothers and sisters and had so much fun and was so popular that they asked me to join the group!  I love all the pets and attention that I get.  The elderly and young children love me because I am smaller than the horses.   People laugh when I make a funny bleating sound during the visits.  My favorite food is flowers, and my human mom does not have any left in her yard.  I was raised with dogs for the first three years of my life, and no one told me that I was a goat!

  • My name is Daisy and I was born in 2020. I am the smallest horse member of our mini group, standing only 26 inches tall at my shoulders. I am a light golden palomino in color in the summer, but in the winter, I turn into a big white puffball My hobbies are to go for hikes at a fast clip, and play with obstacles, and kids. I am a “snuggle bunny” and love to put my head on laps and fall asleep. My specialty is visiting patients in bed. I would jump in if my handler would let me!
